I really love all the information you have this site. It's so nice to find injury prevention and treatment information that is specific to ultimate. Along those lines, I was wondering if you have any specific suggestions for ways to lay-out that avoid injury. I've had numerous people ask me what "proper form" is for laying out and I'm never quite sure what to say beyond "avoid landing on your knees and try to distribute the impact over your core." Are there additional tips you can offer for laying out that will help avoid injuries? I'm especially interested in how people can avoid shoulder, collar bone, and neck injuries while bidding.

Hi,
Great question! I just completed a Sports Medicine section for the UPA Coaching Clinic manual that addresses this topic and other sports med topics. You can find a copy on my website or at the UPA website in the Coaching Clinic manual.
